Before & After Home Tour (Part 4)

It's been awhile since I've blogged about our house, so today I'm adding the newest addition to the Home Tour Series. Our master bedroom. I was a little tentative about posting this with the room the way it is. But let's be real... life isn't always perfect & neither are our houses. This is how the room looks right now. But there are still some changes to take place.

When we bought the house, the master bedroom was done in a faux stainless steel look complete with a silver painted shade, upholstery tacks in the walls, & old shag carpet.

We painted, pulled out the carpet, put down laminate, put up new window coverings & things are looking much more welcoming.

Here's the part I wasn't crazy about revealing: The dresser in our room leaves something to be desired. Another word to describe it is B-O-R-I-N-G. I've got plans for it. It's on my to-do list. I promise once it gets finished, I'll post pics. Here's an idea for it:

I love the stripes.

What's on your project list this week? Leave me a comment to tell me. I'm all about reader interaction. :)

Enjoy your day!

I think you need to help me with my room! It's been hunters green for going on 15 yrs! My hubby's choice, YICKS!
Man, do I need a plan for it during the week in Feb when he's out of town for meetings, LOL!!

  2. What a difference!  That blue is a breath of fresh air.  Y'all really did a fantastic job!

  3. The colour you've chosen is so fresh and inviting! Must make you cheerful to wake up to in the morning :-)Looking forward to the end reveal of your chest-of-drawers... terrific inspiration!

  4. Haha! I was wondering if anyone would notice that lettering. I thought it was funny. February it is! Surprise him with a bedroom makeover!

  5. Thanks Gabby! And the fact that you said y'all makes me smile. I don't hear that very much up here in Canada. We have southern friends & seeing you say that made me happy. :)

  6. Thanks, Victoria! We do quite enjoy the colour. It's very calming.
I have my fingers crossed hoping the dresser turns out half as nice as that chest in the picture.

  7. Your new bedroom is gorgeous, Steph! Love your color choices w/pops of blue! The wall color is so pretty - makes for such a calm background. Love your fab lamps too!

  8. Thanks Kate! Thank you for stopping by to say hello!

  9. Thanks, Patti! It is calm... we love our little oasis.
