Shopping Bag Turned Gift Bag

 I always enjoy walking out of a store with a paper shopping bag. Especially these lovely turquoise bags from David's Tea.

Besides that fact that you're getting some retail therapy, they are also so easy to upcycle to a pretty gift bag!

Start with the shopping bag, glue or an adhesive runner, a pretty patterned paper, & some handmade tissue paper flowers. {Find my tutorial here!}

Cut a strip of paper & glue onto the front of the bag.

On the back of the bag, crease the paper where the crease is so you can fold the bag.

Add your tissue paper flowers....

And you're done!

  1. Visiting from Project Inspired, I am loving this bag and what a great, adorable way to dress up a shopping bag. Gift bags can be so outrageous in price so this is the perfect solution!
