I don't do a ton of fall decorating in our home... mainly just a few touches in the main living area & my front porch. I'm in awe of some of the beautiful front porch displays I've seen recently. Gorgeousness! Seriously, just Googling "front porch decorated for fall" will inspire you. There are some amazing displays out there.
Here's what I've done this year on our front porch. Our porch is pretty small, so I keep it simple. I'll probably add some pumpkins when I find some.

I did something a bit different with some of my fall decor inside this year. I had some sprigs of fake fall leaves, but was never quite sure what to do with them. They weren't wired, so it was impossible to make them look real. So, I cut them all off the sprig so I could use them individually. I added some to the hurricane lantern on our front table. And don't worry - the candle in there is a flameless, battery operated candle, so it's not a fire hazard!
I'm loving the orange accents with my purple walls.
Front table. Leafy pumpkin is from HomeSense as well. |
I also used some of the leaves in my table centre piece. In the fall, I collect pinecones in the parks near our house. Yes, I'm that lady who is walking around the public parks, collecting natural items to use inside. :)

More pinecones & a small birch branch adds a little touch of added interest to this pumpkin pie dish.

I've made a yarn wreath (which you'll have to stay tuned until towards the end of the month to see) and I think next week I'm going to make some leaf garland using my Slice and some paper bags, then string them up with some twine. I'm also going to make some paper pumpkins like I did last year.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE your color combos too, and it looks very inviting, that's for sure! I hope that we don't see any of those real fall leaves for a little while though ;) Keep up the lovely work!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ladies! I'll be checking out your projects, Jasmine! :)
ReplyDeleteWoohoo for HomeSense...gotta love it!! (And walks in the park for "natural" decor items!!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Brown Paper Packages...and "hi" from your fellow Canadian one province over! :)
Thanks, Evie! I'm still in love with that little desk you made over. I'm itching to get my hands on a little desk (even though I probably don't have a space for it) just so I can copy your idea... so sweet!
ReplyDeleteHey Steph! Where did you get your flameless candles? I've been looking for some pillar ones, but have been having trouble finding them.
ReplyDeleteI found it at... HomeSense! Haha, I'm seeing a pattern here! I've seen them there LOTS. I was also at Costco yesterday & saw them there. There were 6 in a big pack, I think.
ReplyDeleteLooking beautiful! Even though this week has felt like summer (yay!), I've certainly had several "autumnal urges" - you just gave me more! Pumpkins soon...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog visit! Your front porch looks like fall is here!
ReplyDeletePretty and festive! I'm hosting a Fall Craft Challenge on my blog; this week's theme is centerpieces. I would love for you to come link yours up so my readers can see it too and be inspired! :)
